Bow Tie Octogan Patchwork Quilt

The octagon shape is one which features in patchwork quilts and an endless amount of patterns can be created using them. The picture above is from my 1950s book. We have a quilt set that is based on the octagon. It is called BOW TIE PATCHWORK QUILT AT QUILT KRAZY and is made of a selection of colours that remind me of good food and drinks such as wine, claret, bisque and biscuit. The swatch below shows how the decor of the room could pick out these colours to enhance the patchwork quilt and show it off at its best.
